Obedience Training

Why Obedience?

  • Strengthen your relationship with you dog.
  • Learn basic commands such as "sit," "stay," "come," and loose leash walking, and no jumping.
  • Learn how to communicate with your dog so your dog can do anything.
  • Build confidence in shy dogs
  • Teach your dog basic manners – no jumping, mouthing, counter surfing
  • Obedience training is extremely beneficial to both pet owners and pets. Training builds the relationship between you and your dog as well as building the dog’s confidence. Many behavior issues common in dogs can be avoided or corrected through basic obedience.

A trained dog is a safer dog! Just responding to the "come" or "sit" command could potentially save your dog’s life! Imagine your leash breaking in the busy school parking lot!

Dogs with good manners are welcome guests! A leash trained dog with good manners is more likely to be able to accompany your family on trips, such as camping, or family gatherings. Who doesn’t love a well-mannered dog?

The basic obedience session is a seven-week course. The class size is limited to 10 dogs to ensure each client receives the attention they need.

Obedience training is a great way to bond with your pet! We offer group classes for basic obedience in the evenings. We are trilled to have Laura Totis of LJT Training to conduct these classes.
